I'd like to first take the opportunity to thank all shareholders in Eddies Pearl for making the trip to Chepstow and supporting your horse in training. I hear from our Director Sara that you all had a fabulous time and I myself very much look forward to meeting you all.
So, what can we take from Chepstow?
As I'm sure for those of you that were there saw the ground was horrendous. Nothing like the good to soft that was stated as seemingly is more often the case at Chepstow.
The trip may have been a touch on the long side however better ground and in a lower class race this may not necessarily be the case.
Jumping. We thought she jumped fabulously for her first chase since her few point to points, this was very encouraging to see.
Our choice jockey Rex Dingle confirmed the ground was 'dead' and 'sticky' and she didn't enjoy running in those conditions. He said that she jumped great even though there was one mistake which took her back a bit, he said she doesn't like making mistakes and is a very carful jumper.
All in all in this particular race she was pulled up however we are confident it is enough to get a new handicap mark for chasing which should be given Tuesday the 15th of this month.
There are various races upcoming and we plan to get her back out on the track this month all being well.
Again many thanks for your support and we very much appreciate you all.
